Ok, it is the day before we leave. Who knew 370 days ago that we would actually be at the eve of our Aotearoa adventure. Time for the final check:
Bags packed - socks, jocks and a spare pair of riding pants. Some of the guys however seem to need to take their whole wardrobe! (Togs for the hot pools at Hanmer, because I don't think they will let in a nuddy granny, lol).
Tank - Full. No need to stop for the first days travel.
Interislander Ferry tickets - No getting on there without these. Here's hoping it's smooth sailing.
Cameras, laptops and charging cables - 20 years ago these probably would not have been included! (well, maybe the camera).
Fuel vouchers for the van from our sponsors (Waitomo Fuels, McIntosh Farm Machinery and Clive Taylor Haulage) - packed and ready to use.
BBQ (donated by Stihl, Palmerston North) - in the van ready for roadside sausages.
Even Gloria is packed and ready to go!
We start Day 1 by meeting at our place by 9am, then tackle the stop/go's to Wellington, where we will board the ferry to the Mainland. First night is in Blenheim, so stay tuned for our day 1 update tomorrow.
